G.Gerelmaa is a visiting professor in the Department of Mongolian Language and Culture, at the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University. Her work focuses on Mongolian grammar and lexicology, as well as comparative studies of Mongolian and Russian terminology.

She has been producing scholarly work in recent years using modern linguistic approaches and focusing on topics in “Applied Linguistics” and “Sociolinguistics.” Accordingly, she is currently writing monographs, collaborative works, and dictionaries in these fields, as well as supervising master's and doctoral research projects.

Her main position is at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, where she works as a leading researcher.
